Look for New Faces....
Hopefully New Members
Ms. Ree Phillips deserves a second picture. She began her Stanly NCRSP membership in 1984 and is the last of those Charter Members still with us. In other words, she was already a member of NCRSP BEFORE some of today's new retiree guests even began their teaching careers!!!!
Today's Scholarship Raffle items were a hit. Mr. Denton works for the NC Education Lottery and as an employee is prohibited from participating in the lottery, but he is permitted to do raffles like ours and he bought a ticket and WON!!!

Chef Dwight's buffet spread did not disappoint. Charter Members, members over 90, and new retiree special guests lead the procession. Look carefully and you can see an alternate line in the very back for those folks who chose to hit the dessert table first.

Scholarship Raffle Items for the Day

December 6, 2018
In addition to the budget outline above, the membership approved a change in the name of the scholarship account that will permit the funds housed there to be used on a variety of community/school service projects.
Additionally, beginning with the first meeting in 2019 the cost of participation in the meeting that includes the luncheon will increase to $15.
Aza Hudson, teacher at North Stanly High School, led the NSHS Handbell Choir in a selection of holiday favorites.
It was the smallest crowd in 10 years for the December meeting but the program was well received by those in attendance.
A large selection of door prizes was available to those who purchased a Scholarship Raffle ticket.
